I recently read the Kennebec Journal article, “Augusta man dies in rollover.”

It is a very sad thing that happened. I feel for the relatives of this young kid. I do not think that your newspaper should have added the information at the end, though, regarding his past history of vandalism. That should have been left out.

The Kennebec Journal needs to find its compassion for a human life lost, and not sensationalize this kind of story. This kid is not coming back and cannot defend himself.

Even if something is true, the context needs to be considered first. I didn’t know this young kid or his family, but someone should let you know how offensive this was, even to a stranger, like me. Maybe you should apologize for the lack of sensitivity? We all need to be reminded of this at times.
