The Kid, Calf, and Lamb Hugging Day is set for Sunday, April 28.
Four goat farms, Appleton Creamery, Coppertail Farm, Fuzzy Udder Creamery and Pumpkin Vine Family Farm, as well as the Maine Water Buffalo Company, will open their barn doors to the public for a chance to meet the new arrivals.
Appleton Creamery will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 780 Gurneytown Road, Appleton. For more information, call Caitlin Hunter at 785-4431.

Fuzzy Udder Farm will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 35 Townhouse Road, Whitefield. For more information, call Jessie Dowling at 549-3817.
Maine Water Buffalo Company will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 232 Old County Road, Appleton. For more information, call Jessica Farrar at 785-6493.
Pumpkin Vine Family Farm will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 217 Hewett Road, Somerville. For more information, call Kelly Payson-Roopchand at 549-3096.
Besides a chance to snuggle calves, lambs and goat kids, each farm offers a variety of other activities, from food and music to children’s activities and a chance to sample their unique hand-crafted dairy products. All the farms are located on a loop in the midcoast region.
