Vada-Leigh Yvette Peaslee

WINDSOR – On Thursday, May 20, 2021, we lost one of God’s greatest gifts; a parents’ creation of love. Vada-Leigh Yvette Peaslee, such a beautiful baby girl, was brought home to the Lord with her grandmother, Barbara Maxim-Hendsbee (GiGi). Although Vada had no control over her last day on this beautiful earth, she did have control when she came into it. Vada-Leigh first graced us with her magical presence in Augusta on Feb. 23, 2020, three and a half weeks before her due date, so we could have three and a half extra weeks of her magical love. She is the daughter of Ronald J. Peaslee, Jr. and Megan L. (Hendsbee) Peaslee. Miss Vada-Leigh was a light in our hearts and souls, as she brought joy, hope, and unconditional love to every soul she touched. The precious comfort of new life gleamed inside all of us because of our perfect little angel, Vada-Leigh. She provided all of us with a blanket of love, will forever be a part of our souls, and will be so greatly missed here on earth.

Vada-Leigh loved doing anything and everything with her mother and father, being cuddled and held by her parents and all of her loving relatives, reading countless books, listening to her Poppy play music and her Ma Tante singing to her in French, dancing with her GiGi and Pappa D, drinking milkies, eating avocados, taking naps with her Mémère, GiGi and mumma, swinging, walking in nature, playing outdoors, collecting flowers, rocks, and pinecones and exploring the glorious world around her. She loved watching Rudolph, even in the springtime. Vada-Leigh loved visiting her aunts, uncles, grandparents, great- grandparents and her great great aunts and uncles on a regular basis. She was remarkably charismatic and could steal your heart with a simple smile. As she put so much love and kindness back into the world, her last act of kindness was donating her loving heart valves so a beautiful child might someday be given another chance at life.

Miss Vada-Leigh Y. Peaslee is survived by her parents, Ronald J. Peaslee, Jr. and Megan L. (Hendsbee) Peaslee of Windsor; her paternal grandparents: Ronald J. Peaslee, Sr. (Grandpa) and L. Rhonda Hutchinson-Peaslee (Mémère) of Windsor; maternal grandfather, Wayne T. Hendsbee (Poppy) of Farmingdale; maternal grandfather, Dexter Pinkham (Papa D) of Augusta; godparents and aunt and uncle, Molly and Patrick Kimball; uncle Zachariah Peaslee; Mikayla Brochu (Auntie Mikay) and great-great aunt Laurette Bellavance; paternal great- grandparents Hank and Elizabeth Peaslee, and maternal great-grandparents Howard and Janet Maxim.

There will be no public visiting hours. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 29 at 11 a.m. at Plummer Funeral Home, Windsor Chapel, 983 Ridge Rd., Rt. 32, Windsor. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Rt. 32, Windsor.
