Harold Earl Jones Sr.

AUGUSTA – Harold Earl Jones Sr., 93, passed away June 28, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 9, 1927, the son of Asa and Florence Jones.Harold was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from Statler Tissue in 1990. He was an active member of the Augusta Elks Lodge #964 where he was name Citizen of the Year in 2001 for all his years of volunteering for the Youth Program. He also was involved with the Augusta Rec Football program for over 30 years. Harold enjoyed right up to recently attending his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren’s.He is survived by one brother, Charles Jones of Hartland. He has four sons and wives, Harold (Nedra) Jones of Manchester, Robert (Dorian) Jones of Monmouth, Jeffrey (Susan) Jones of Manchester and George (Rachel) Jones of Augusta, two daughters, Jennifer (Gerald) Reynolds, and Abigail (Gary) Waddell of Readfield; his 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.Harold is predeceased by his parents; and sister, Mary “Betty” Nadeau and his longtime companion Sylvia “Peggy” Long.
