Molly J. Dodge

BELLEAIR BLUFFS, Fla. – Molly J. Dodge, 55, quietly ended her eight-year long fight against Ovarian Cancer on Sept. 17, 2021, at her home in Belleair Bluffs, Fla., with her beloved partner, Walter Crockett, by her side.

Molly was born in Pittsfield, on Feb. 27, 1966. She is survived by her parents, Jerome Dodge Jr. and Shelby Searles-Dodge; and her three brothers, Jimmy (Heidi), Daniel (Brenda), and Jerome III (Shelly). Molly also leaves behind several beautiful nieces and a boatload of wonderful close friends.

Brought up in Canaan, Molly attended SAD 54 Schools graduating from Skowhegan Area High School in 1984. She was a hard worker her entire life and spent 20 years at the Edwards/General Electric Plant in Pittsfield as a Material Handling Specialist. Everyone was excited to see Molly around the holidays as she always loved showing off her baking skills with treats for all her fellow workers and friends. Molly spent the last eight years at TSE Industries in Clearwater, Fla., where she worked as a Warehouse Inventory and Shipping Coordinator.

Molly’s other passions besides baking were running and making all kinds of crafts for her family and friends. She ran in several road races in both Maine and Florida and commonly won her age group competition. She loved making crafts and was very creative never surprising us with her great talent. During this horrible Pandemic, Molly thought the best way to help was by making face masks and she made hundreds of them and gave them to anyone who wanted them.

Molly will always be remembered for her love of life, her endless generosity and kindness and the way her smile lit up any room she entered.

Walter would like to express his sincere gratitude to the staff of Suncoast Hospice for their dedicated and loving care over the last month. Another thanks go to the Human Resources Staff at TSE for their love and caring for Molly all the way to the end.

There will be no funeral or visiting hours, but Walter will be scheduling a Celebration of Molly’s Life in both Maine and in Florida.
