SKOWHEGAN – It is with saddened hearts that we, the family of – Theresa “Terri” M. (Bickford) Fraher, announce the sudden passing of her earthly life. On Monday, Sept. 13, 2021, Terri passed away peacefully with her mother, son and daughter by her side.Terri was born July 8, 1971, to Debra Bickford and James Adams. She attended and graduated from Messalonski High School in Oakland. She went on to waitress and work in retail. She excelled in these fields because of her positive, helpful and personable persona. She loved, most of all, the time she spent in early childhood daycare.Terri was a happy, fun-loving person. She always greeted you with a smile even though, for the last few years of her life, she suffered much pain. She loved family gatherings, large or small. Above everything, she loved her children and grandchildren. Terri loved to read, especially Stephen King novels. She shared the love of reading with her children and grandchildren, introducing them to books at an early age; reading to them and making the stories come alive! Gifts to them often times included books. Terri also enjoyed a good game of Scrabble, if she could convince someone to play with her. She learned her Scrabble skills from her grandmother, Fern, who was extremely hard to beat.Terri was also fond of music, of many genres, but music by The Beatles and The Doors stood out above the rest. In high school, Terri participated in activities and events of the Rainbow Girls. Always wishing to visit Paris, France, Terri collected many items significant of the city. She even named her cat, Eiffel. Over the years, Terri treasured moments of adventure with her long-time school friends known as the She-Kins. She will always be alive in the memories of their exploits together.Terri is survived by her mother, Debra Bickford Russell of Norridgewock; son, Jacob Bickford of Skowhegan; daughter, Erica Fraher of Corinna; grandchildren, Aaron and Daltynni; brother Dana Albair and wife Stephanie of Gray; nephew and niece, Charlie and Evie; father, James Adams and wife Donna; siblings, Amy and Mike Adams and their children of Skowhegan. Terri also leaves her former husband and friend, Eric Fraher.Terri will be greatly missed by her uncles, William Bickford of Rome; John Bickford and fiance Teresa Bagley of Norridgewock; Merle Lewis of Norridgewock; aunt, Paula Bickford of Skowhegan, and their families; many dear friends; a multitude of cousins who grew up with Terri and shared many carefree and joyous moments with her.Terri was predeceased by her grandparents, Lauris and Fern Bickford; grandfather, Charles Erving; infant daughter, Megan; aunts, Pam Vanorse and Pati Bickford; cousins, Ricky Rogers, Ian Bickford and Jake Brown. All were deeply loved by Terri.The family would like to than the critical care unit staff, especially nurse Emily and R. Smith, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston. We appreciate the loving care they provided to keep Terri comfortable in her final hours. Also for their compassionate guidance to our family.A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, Oct. 3, 2021, at 1 p.m., at Pace Union Hall, 653 Waterville Road, Skowhegan. We will be observing the CDC guidelines at the reception following the service. Masks and hand sanitizer will be available for all. Attendants will be serving the buffet. A family graveside service will be held at a later date.Arrangements under the direction and care of Dan & Scott’s Cremation & Funeral Service, 445 Waterville Road, Skowhegan ME 04976.Flowers may be sent on that day.
