MADISON – G. Arlene Elias, 101, passed away at Cedar Ridge Nursing Center on Tuesday Oct. 19, 2021 after a long and wonderful life.
Born in Sangerville, Maine on Sept. 16, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Leon Riley Brasier and Caro (Levitt) Brasier, and the sister of and predeceased by Clair Brasier and Glen Brasier.
She leaves behind three daughters, Francis Peters and her husband Richard of Farmington, their children Cindy and Debbie both of Saco, Barbara Nicholson and her husband Robert of Madison, her daughter Lisa Spaulding (Stephen) of Madison and Kathy Elias of Waterville, her sons Jason Reynolds of Portland and Tucker Foxwell of Waterville, one son James Elias ( Kelley Dyer) of Madison, their children Tabetha Peters of Madison, Thomas Elias (Jolene) both of Madison and Bronte Elias of Madison. She now joins her beloved husband Joseph and her son Thomas who predeceased her.
Arlene was the loving and proud mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great- grandmother and friend and will be greatly missed by all who had the good fortune to know her.
Throughout her life she was a “domestic engineer” who unselfishly catered to all of her children and their children. Her passion was her gift of incessant good luck with scratch tickets and parlayed that talent into taking advantage of the various casinos she would visit occasionally.
Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and traveling with her daughters and friends.
The Elias family should like to thank the staff at Cedar Ridge Nursing Center for the kindness and excellent care they conveyed upon our Mother during her stay.
At Arlene’s request there will be no visiting hours or funeral and a graveside interment will be Friday, Oct. 22, 2021 at 11 a.m. in St. Sebastian Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Giberson Funeral Home and Cremation Services. To leave a condolence for the family and to view the online obituary, please visit http://www.gibersonfuneralhome.com
