Barbara P. (Pratt) Petley

ATHENS – Barbara P. (Pratt) Petley, 95, passed away on Dec. 9, 2021 at Tissues Country Estates in Athens. She was born on Nov. 15, 1926 in Bingham, the daughter of Daniel and Erna (Emery) Pratt.

Barbara graduated from Bingham High School and Skowhegan Business School. She married Charles M. Petley on Nov. 18, 1950. She worked many years at the paper mill in Madison.

Barbara is survived by her son, Terry Petley and wife Cynthia of Anson; granddaughters, Amy Cates and husband Brandon and Heather James and husband Bryan; great-grandchildren, Zachary and Mitchell Cates, Cooper and Emma James; brothers, George Pratt and wife Phyllis and Wallace Pratt; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Mardel Pratt and wife Gloria, sister, Marjorie Adams and husband Clayton, and sister-in-law, Claire Pratt.

A special thank you to all the staff of Tissues Country Estates for the excellent care provided to Barbara the past few years and to Beacon Hospice for their compassionate role in guiding her through her final journey.

A graveside service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
