NEWPORT – Harold Small, 80, died Dec. 14, 2021 at a Pittsfield hospital. He was born July 10, 1941 in Pittsfield, a son of Clarence and Edythe (White) Small.

He graduated from Maine Central Institute, class of 1959 and was employed as a hand sewer at Northeast Shoe and Dexter Shoe. He also worked at Maine Central Railroad, General Electric in Pittsfield and retired from Webber Oil Company.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and four-wheeling. Harold was a member and faithful worker at Deeper Life Assembly in Pittsfield and he also belonged to Central Maine Trailblazers.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly (Harding) Small of Newport; a son, Denver and wife Karen Small of Pittsfield, a daughter, Stacy Small of Skowhegan, a stepdaughter, Kimberly and husband Aaron Patterson of Indiana; a sister, Rosalie and husband Thomas O’Shea of Australia; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Harold was predeceased by his first wife, Joan; an infant son, Brady, a son, Scott; a grandson, Steven Parlin; and a brother, Rodney.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 20, at Deeper Life Assembly, Pittsfield, with Pastor Matthew Bagley officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be in the Powers Cemetery, Pittsfield.
