Barbara Kennedy

FARMINGTON – Barbara Kennedy, 79, a resident of Mount Vernon, passed away on March 26, 2022, at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington. She was born Nov. 7, 1942, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Henry Kennedy and Helen (Bowdin) Kennedy. She attended schools in Camp Hill, Pa., graduating from Camp Hill High School. Barbara received her BA in Mathematics at Wells College in Aurora, New York. She continued her education at Fairleigh Dickinson receiving her MBA. She worked for AT & T as a district operations manager, retiring in 1991. Barbara enjoyed spending time in Sanibel, Florida, and at J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge. She was a member of the Flying Pond Improvement Association, Presidents’ Circle at Wells College, organizing reunions for the alumni. She is survived by her sister, Karen Gallimore and husband, Keith of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, her brother Clay Kennedy and wife Janice of Missouri, nieces, and nephews: Robyn Gallimore-Jones, Mark Gallimore, Traci Gallimore, Angela Kennedy, Timothy Kennedy. She also is survived by her chosen family, a son, Thomas Marshall and his wife Julie Anderson of Cheshire, Connecticut, her grandchildren: Abigail Marshall and partner Beau Tetreault of Burlington, VT, David Marshall of Wilmington, Delaware, special friends, Deb Murphy of Monmouth and Alison Marshall of Asbury Park, New Jersey. She was predeceased by her parents and her best friend Audrey Marshall.
