
Percy William Savage
MADISON – Percy William Savage, 71, passed away unexpectedly at his home on May 24, 2022. He was a life long resident of Madison, Maine. He was born at his family home on Brown Street on December 19, 1949, and was the youngest of seven children. Percy was baptized at the St. Sebastian Church in Madison on March 27, 1952.Percy took industrial arts classes while in high school, and graduated from Madison Area High School in 1968.He worked at many jobs, including a hardware store, and the night shift at Solon Manufacturing Company. Percy grew up with very few toys. He was also very clever, and made all sorts of wooden toys for his young nephews out of scrap lumber. Specifically Percy made toys that resembled guns, pistols, swords, cabins, etc. He loved working on automobiles, hunting, fishing, and being in the outdoors. He was predeceased by his parents Albert Andrew Savage Sr. and Doris May Savage. His two brothers Albert “Sunny” Savage Jr. And Edward Savage. His two sisters Sharon Post Bennett and Rondall Starr Savage. Percy was especially close to his older sister, Sharon. Percy will be sadly missed by sister Cherris Sincyr, her two sons, Jeffrey Sincyr, wife Wendy, and son Jacob. of Madison. Also Michael Sincyr, wife Norma, and their two daughter’s Ashley and Emily Sincyr. Percy will also be sadly missed by his sister Virginia Savage of Guilford, Maine. His nieces and nephews include his brother Albert Savage Jr.’s children, George, John, Robert, David, and Rick Savage. Also Albert’s two predeceased children Jim and Joan. His sister Virginia’s childen, Valerie Warner, Gary, James, and Katie Sudsbury. His sister Sharon’s children, Mary Bennett, Reginald, Terry, and Percy Post.A special thanks to the Madison Area Health Center for the assistance they gave Percy. A graveside service will be held at St. Sebastian Cemetery in Madison, on June 8, 2022 at 10 a.m.Arrangements are under the care and direction of Giberson Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
