Patricia G. Blackstone

PLEASANT RIDGE – Patricia G. Blackstone died unexpectedly Sept. 3, 2022 at Redington-Fairview General Hospital in Skowhegan after a fall in Bingham. She was born in Chelsea on Dec. 13, 1937 to Beverly (Allen) Gleason and Julian Gleason.

Pat attended schools in Strong and Phillips, and graduated from the University of Maine at Farmington in 1975. She married Leon Ross of Phillips in 1955 and raised five children.

She married Raymond Blackstone Sr. in 1970 and added three children to her family. Pat and Ray resided in Bowdoin for many years, later living in Kentucky and Bowdoinham before settling in Pleasant Ridge in 1995. Pat and Ray enjoyed life on the ridge and became part of a tight-knit community. She volunteered for many community organizations, and greatly enjoyed the company of her family and friends.

Pat was predeceased by two sons, Dean Michael Ross and Mark Anthony Ross; as well as a sister, Mary E. Tyler, and a brother, Michael Gleason.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond; and children Fred Ross (Cynthia), Leigh Ross (Meredith), Carolee Ross Shepherd (David), Judith Butters, Carol Blackstone (Dan Lothrop), Raymond Blackstone Jr. and daughter-in-law Linda Rundlett Ross. Also surviving her are 17 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17 at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery on Rowe Pond Road.
