AUGUSTA — Two men are being held at the Kennebec County jail on drug trafficking charges following a search Tuesday of a Summer Street apartment.
Police say Zachary Magee, 31, of Winthrop, and Samuel Barrows, 27, of Augusta were each arrested on charges of unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs.
Shortly before noon on Tuesday, officers from the Augusta Police Department accompanied by representatives from the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Kennebec County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 17 Summer St., Apt. 1 and seized guns, money, drugs and contraband.
Police did not disclose the kind or number of firearms, nor did they say how much money, what kind of drugs or what kind of contraband in a news release issued Wednesday evening.
Both Magee and Barrows are being held at the Kennebec County jail on $5,500 cash bail.
