CLINTON — The body of a 51-year-old man was pulled from the Sebasticook River on Monday, authorities said.
Paul Trask, of Clinton, was last seen Sunday near the river at Old Mill Park, located off Main Street, police Chief Stanley “Rusty” Bell said.
Police received a call just before 11:30 p.m. Sunday that a man had jumped into the river, and the caller said splashing could be heard but it stopped and no sounds had been heard for several minutes.
The Maine Warden Service responded to search the area but because of the late hour was unable to locate anyone. Wardens returned early Monday and located a body near the Pleasant Street bridge, downstream from the park. It was later identified as Trask.
His body was transported to Maine Office of Chief Medical Examiner. Foul play was not suspected, Bell said.
