WALES — Madalyn Sikora scored her second goal of the game early in the fourth quarter to help lift the Oak Hill field hockey team to a 2-1 victory over Boothbay in a Mountain Valley Conference game Monday.
Izzy Whitaker assisted on the game-winning goal for Oak Hill (4-5-1). Emma Bourgoin provided an assist on Sikora’s first goal 50 seconds into the game.
Ariel Alamo scored from Lily Nein off a penalty corner with no time remaining in the first half for Boothbay (2-7).
Sierra Lane stopped 12 of 13 shots for Oak Hill, while Cass Amaral made 13 saves for Boothbay.
GIRLS SOCCER
MARANACOOK 8, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 0: Natalie Mohlar led a six-goal second-half onslaught as the Black Bears won in Jay.
Mia Chicoine and Phoebe Bell each scored to give Maranacook (10-0-0) a 2-0 lead at halftime. Mohlar scored twice in the second half, and the Black Bears also got goals from Kolby Webb, Hope Webb, Anna Clauson and Emerson Davis.
Spruce Mountain (0-10-0) goalie Tyoaka Hodgkin made 12 saves.
