Patricia Ann Fortin

AUGUSTA – Patricia Ann Fortin, 85, passed away peacefully on Oct. 17, 2023 while surrounded by the love of her family and friends. She was born on May 10, 1938, a daughter of Leon and Lydia (Belanger) Vigue.

Patricia grew up in Augusta and graduated from Cony High School. Following high school, she worked at the Edwards Cotton Mill. Later, she attended beauty school and operated her own hair salon out of her home: Cony Road Cut N Curl. She also cut hair at the Veteran’s Home on Cony Road.

Patricia had a fun personality and was a fierce competitor. She organized the cribbage tournament held at the Buker Center in Augusta and looked forward to Sunday Bingo games at the Calumet Club. She enjoyed tending her gardens, playing computer games, and knitting practical gifts for her family.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Raymond Fortin Sr.; her sister, Priscilla Marceau; and her daughter-in-law, Paula Fortin.

Patricia is survived by her four sons: Armand Fortin, Tim Fortin and his girlfriend, Cathy Isbister, Raymond Fortin Jr. and his partner, Paula Allen, and Randy Fortin and his wife Laura; nine grandchildren, including dedicated grandson Thomas Fortin; eight great grandchildren; her niece, Sandra Murphy; her sister-in-law, Sylvia Douin and her husband Dominique; along with many other extended family members.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 28, at 11 a.m., at St. Augustine Church, 75 Northern Ave., Augusta, Maine 04330. Burial will follow at Holy Family Cemetery on Townsend Road in Augusta. Arrangements have been entrusted to Plummer Funeral home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta, ME 04330.
