Ski and snowshoe trails are open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the follow dates at several Maine state parks.

Free equipment use is available with park admission, call ahead for more details.

January

5-14: Camden Hills State Park, Camden, 207-236-0849 — Winter Family Fun Day is set for Jan. 13. The park is located a few minutes north of Camden on U.S. Route 1 and offers year-round trail activities and camping.

13 and 14: Mount Blue State Park, 299 Center Hill Road, Weld; 207-585-2261. The park offers groomed and ungroomed trails, a warming hut and ice skating near the park headquarters.

19-21: Aroostook State Park, Presque Isle, 207-768-8341. The park is located off U.S. Route 1 south of Presque Isle on Echo Lake. Fees are collected year-round at entry booth by staff or self-service station. Cash or check only, no credit cards accepted.

20 and 21: Wolfe’s Neck Woods State Park, is located approximately two miles south on Wolf Neck Road, Freeport, 207-865-4465. The park’s easy trails make it a great spot for beginners and as well as those that prefer level terrain.

27 and 28: Sebago Lake State Park, at 3 Campground Lane, Casco, 207-693-6231. The park offers groomed and ungroomed easy to moderate trails that meander through a variety of forest types and woodland cover as well as stretch along the Songo River and a portion of the north shore of Sebago Lake.

February

1-13: Holbrook Island Sanctuary, Brooksville, 207-326-4012. Winter Family Fun Day is Feb. 10.

10 and 11: Bradbury Mt. State Park, 528 Hallowell Road, Pownal, 207-688-4712. The park offers a variety of trails and snowshoe rentals. Winter Family Fun Day will take place Feb. 10

17: Reid State Park, 375 Seguinland Road, Georgetown, 207-371-2303. The two trails, the Little River Trail and the Ski Loop Trail, are groomed for cross-country skiing. Winter Family Fun Day is planned for Feb. 17.

17-24: Lake St. George State Park, 278 Belfast Augusta Road, Liberty, 207-589-4255. Winter Fun & Ice Fishing Derby is scheduled for Feb. 17

18: Bradbury Mt. State Park, 528 Hallowell Road, Pownal, 207-688-4712. The park offers a variety of trails and snowshoe rentals.

24 and 25: Range Pond State Park, 26 State Park Road, Poland, 207-998-4104. The park maintains a groomed two-mile loop for cross-country skiing and has 1.5 miles of trail that loops through the pine forest open for hiking and snowshoeing. Winter Family Fun Day is set for Feb. 24

March

2-10: Cobscook Bay State Park, is on U.S. Route 1 four miles south of Dennysville in Edmunds Township, 207-726-4412. The park offers groomed trails in a Downeast setting.

9 and 10: Sebago Lake State Park, at 3 Campground Lane, Casco, 207-693-6231. The park offers groomed and ungroomed easy-to-moderate trails that meander through a variety of forest types and woodland cover as well as stretch along the Songo River and a portion of the north shore of Sebago Lake.

16-31: Lily Bay State Park, Greenville, 207-695-2700.
