RICHMOND — Wyatt Cassidy had 17 points and seven rebounds to lead the Richmond boys basketball team to a 75-45 win over Islesboro on Monday.

Hunter Mason added 19 points for the Bobcats (13-1) while Brady Alexander chipped in 10.

The Eagles (7-7) were led by Robert Conover with 21 points, while Harper Conover added 11.

 

MONMOUTH 73, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 40: Sam Calder scored 38 points and the Mustangs used a 25-1 second-quarter run to win in Monmouth.

Calder made 17 field goals, including three 3-pointers, and was 1 for 3 from the foul line for Monmouth (11-3). He had 12 in the first quarter, 14 in the second, eight in the third and four in the fourth.

Trot Moody, Brady Plante and Derrick Webber each had nine points for OOB (6-7).

 

GIRLS BASKETBALL

 

HALL-DALE 65, KENTS HILL 14: Hayden Madore scored 19 points to lead the Bulldogs to the win in Kents Hill.

Jade Graham added 13 points for Hall-Dale (13-1).

Blythe Dennison scored five points for the Huskies (0-13).

 

MOUNTAIN VALLEY 55, OAK HILL 18: Ella Young scored 14 points, leading the Falcons to victory over the Raiders in Wales.

Brooke Bennett finished with nine points for Mountain Valley (5-8) and Madison Dow chipped in eight points.

Audrey McElhaney tallied eight points for Oak Hill (1-12).

MARANACOOK 58, TELSTAR 43: Natalie Mohlar finished with 34 points for the Black Bears in the win in Bethel.

Celia Bergdahl added another 11 points for Maranacook (10-5).

Morgan Zetts contributed the most points for Telstar (5-9) with 21.

 

OXFORD HILLS 70, MT. BLUE 30: Ella Pelletier finished with a game-high 28 points for the Vikings in their win in Farmington.

Gabbie Tibbetts also chipped in 17 points for Oxford Hills (9-5), which has now won seven straight games.

Kara Daggett contributed a team-high 11 points for Mt. Blue (4-9).

 

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 66, MONMOUTH 43: The Phoenix (12-2) bolted ahead in the second quarter and earned a victory in Monmouth.

Monmouth led 11-10 after one period, but Spruce Mountain (12-2) outscored the Mustangs 22-9 in the second, led by Jaydn Pingree’s nine points and Aubrey Kachnovich’s five in the the quarter.

Kachnovich finished with 14 points and Pingree had 13. Their freshman teammate, Maddie Grimaldi, led all scorers with 16 points, and Jazmine Pingree added eight.

Rileigh Chase made 7 of 10 free throws and led Monmouth (5-9) with 13 points, while Reese Beaudoin scored 10 and Tarynn Keleher and Kaitlyn Frost contributed seven points apiece.
