FARMINGTON — A Carthage woman was taken to a local hospital Thursday after the van she was driving collided with an SUV near the Big Apple store/gas station on Wilton Road, Patrolman Jonathan Parker said.
Sholarn Jones, 50, was leaving the store parking lot to head north on Wilton Road when her van collided with an SUV driven by Angela McLeod, 45, of Wilton in the travel lane, he said.
Jones complained of chest pain and was taken by NorthStar EMS ambulance to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington, Parker said.
Her passengers, Christopher Graves, 35, of Farmington and Destiny Clough, 22, of Farmington, and McLeod were not injured, Parker said.
Farmington Fire Rescue and Farmington Patrolman Ethan Whitney and Sgt. Ethan Boyd assisted at the crash reported at about 2 p.m.
Traffic was reduced to three lanes for while, Parker said.
