
William Joseph LeClair
CHESTERFIELD, Mo. – William “Bill” Joseph LeClair, 77, passed away Feb. 7, 2024, in Chesterfield, Mo. with his two loving children, Michael Nohara-LeClair and Suzanne LeClair Parks at his bedside. Bill was born in Augusta, Maine, Dec. 27. 1946, to the late Lorraine LeClair. He was raised by Mrs. Lessard, his mother Lorraine, and uncle Leo Paul “Bud” in Augusta.
After graduating from Cony High School in 1962, Bill enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1964 and toured on the USS Van Voorhis. He was detached in 1969 to the reserves for a year. He married and later divorced Sharon Kramer with whom he had his two children, Michael and Suzanne while living and working in Middletown, Conn.
Bill worked the majority of his life for Stanadyne in Windsor, Conn. He loved to golf, enjoyed woodworking, gardening, wildlife, and watching sports on TV. He will be remembered as a kind and gentle man with an easy smile.
He is survived by his son, Michael, his wife Michiko, and their two children Emma and Eric Nohara-LeClair; and by his daughter, Suzanne and her husband, Paul.
There will be a private family gathering for the dispersion of his ashes in Maine as well as a small celebration of life with family and friends in late spring 2024.
