Got the KJ from the mailbox this morning. Front page: another motorcycle fatality. They don’t call them “donor cycles” for nothing. Turn the page.

Then I went back and read about young Brock Peters, the motorcyclist who was killed. Tears fell.

Now I understand better why this loss is such a tragedy. How Brock left suddenly, after accomplishing so much. A bright future surely awaited.

Everyone, especially now: Watch for motorcycles. Slow down. Carefully look twice before turning into traffic. Drive as if everybody’s life matters. Because it does.
