FARMINGTON — The “I Read I Care” summer reading program at Farmington Public Library, 117 Academy St., is set to run from Tuesday, June 18, to Friday, Aug. 9.

One can sign up any time over the summer in person, or by calling 207-778-4312 or emailing joanne@farmingtonlibrarymaine.org.

Children of all ages read and listen to books in any format, from any source. They must keep track of their progress in order to win prizes. A library card is not necessary to participate.

Free cards are available for all school age children in the Regional School Unit 9 school district and Farmington residents. The area businesses donating prizes are Gifford’s Ice Cream, Devaney Doak & Garrett Booksellers, Narrow Gauge Cinemas, Twice Sold Tales and the Western Maine Play Museum.
