THOMASTON – The Maine New Farmers Project at the University of Maine Cooperative Extension plans to offer a farm visit from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, at Grace Pond Farm, 530 Main St.
Farmer/owner Rhiannon Hampson will discuss small-scale dairy and poultry production on Thomaston farm.
This event is geared toward people interested in starting a farm in Maine or who have started one in the last 10 years and provides an opportunity to learn important skills as well as network with other farmers and service providers, according to a news release from Chris Howard with the extension.
