BATH — This year’s Pine Tree Society cards, by Maine artists Sandy Crabtree and Jeannine Staples, celebrate winter in Maine.
Crabtree’s painting “December Cove” is new for 2024, and Staples’ “Afternoon Play” was selected from the archives for a limited edition re-release. All proceeds from card sales support Pine Tree Society’s programs.
Crabtree’s paintings have been featured on Pine Tree Society’s holiday cards more than a dozen times. She is a noted children’s book illustrator and a longtime Bath resident who taught at Morse High School for nearly 30 years.
Staples, who resides in Maine, is known for her award-winning Maine State Duck Stamps. “Afternoon Play” was last featured on a Pine Tree Society holiday card in 1999.
Pine Tree Society holiday cards can be ordered at pinetreesociety.org, by calling 207-443-3341 or visiting 149 Front St.
