DAMARISCOTTA — The Lincoln County Democratic Committee is set to host its biannual Rally for Democracy,  rom 3-6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at the American Legion at 527 Main St.; rain or shine.

Speakers parking is available next door at the CLC YMCA, 525 Main St., with accessible spots reserved at the Legion for those with appropriate plates or placards.

The rally, a Get Out The Vote party, aims to build momentum for the final weeks of campaigning ahead of the Nov. 5 election. This family-friendly event will feature food vendors, a cash bar and activities for all ages, including rock painting, cornhole and a bounce house, and a mini Maine makers market. Attendees can meet Democratic candidates, gather voter information, and sign up for GOTV volunteer efforts.

Short speeches, including remarks by Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows, will begin at approximately 4 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public. Food and drink will be sold directly by individual vendors, with the bar accepting cash only. Attendees are encouraged to bring donations of toilet paper, canned meat, baby wipes and cereal bars to benefit the Jefferson Area Community Food Pantry.
