My name is Kathleen Ayers, former Kennebec County register of probate for Kennebec County. I write to day to endorse Abigail St. Valle for register of probate.
When I retired in June last year after 30 years in the probate court, Abigail was appointed and willing to jump right into the probate code and get to work.
Abigail is now a member of the Legislative Committee of the Maine Association of Registers of Probate. I’m so thrilled she has taken on this pivotal committee assignment. Probate court is not just estates. There are adoptions, complaints, trusts, power of attorney cases. She had familiarity with adult guardianship and understands the importance of protecting people who cannot protect themselves and their Constitutional rights.
Abigail has rolled up her sleeves and tackled that workload and brought a new perspective and ideas to the challenge.
