FARMINGTON — Thomas Saviello wins Franklin County commissioner District 1 seat by an uncertified collective vote of 1,895 to 1,326 over Ryan Morgan of Farmington.

Saviello of Wilton is an independent, and former state senator and state representative, took the portion of Farmington in the district, by a vote of 440 to Morgan’s 381 votes.
Temple residents elected Saviello by a vote of 184-128. He also claimed victory in his hometown by a vote of 1,271-817.
Morgan, a Republican, of Farmington is a former Farmington selectman and a former Regional School Unit 9 director in the Farmington-based school district.
District 1 consists of the minor civil divisions and unorganized territories of Temple, Wilton and part of Farmington.
Saviello believes the biggest issue facing the county is making sure, in this rapidly changing world, that it is run effectively and efficiently, and those less fortunate individuals living in Franklin County receive the support they need.
