WALES — Hall-Dale trailed by 18 points at halftime and 11 points after three quarters but rallied back to beat Oak Hill 58-57 in an MVC boys basketball contest Thursday.

Hall-Dale’s Keegan Cary scored 24 of his game-high 24 points in the second half. Karter Eldridge added 12 points for the Bulldogs (4-1).

Braden New and PJ Smith scored 16 apiece for the Raiders (1-5),  and Braden Dubuc added 13 points.

FOREST HILLS 67, TEMPLE ACADEMY 53: Jaxson Desjardins scored 29 points and added six rebounds as the Tigers won in Jackman.

Blaine Nadeau added 14 points and five steals for Forest Hills (3-2).

Liam Willey led Temple (0-4) with 14 points, while Sam Frank and Peyton Reckards finished with 11 points each.

MARANACOOK 80, LISBON 29: Jack Fontaine scored 35 points to lead the Black Bears (3-2) to an MVC win over the Greyhounds (0-6) in Readfield.

Ethan Chilton added 18 points for Maranacook.

Keagan Morrissette led Lisbon with eight points.

MEDOMAK VALLEY 70, MT. VIEW 24: Gabe Lash led a balanced attack with 12 points and added nine rebounds and five assists as the Panthers (4-0) breezed past the Mustangs (2-3) in Waldoboro.

Rocco DePatsy and Mason Nguyen each contributed 11 points, and Luke Cheesman had 10 points and six steals.

MT. BLUE 68, NOKOMIS 44: Four players scored in double figures as the Cougars (4-1) bounced back from their first loss of the season with a decisive victory over the Warriors in Farmington.

Nolan Leso scored a game-high 18 points for Mt. Blue. Carter Norton hit three 3-pointers and scored 17 points, Tyler Abell had 13 and Evan Drake shot 6 for 6 at the free-throw line and finished with 10 points. As a team, the Cougars made 15 of 17 free throws.

Seth Bowden led Nokomis with 17 points. Dawson Townsend made three 3s for nine points.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 70, WINTHROP 46: Jace Bessey scored 33 points as the fast-starting Phoenix won in Jay.

Bessey made five 3-pointers and 6 of 7 free throws. Cai Dougher added 14 points and Caden Frazier had 10 for Spruce Mountain (4-0), which outscored Winthrop 15-1 in the opening quarter.

Braden Branagan drained five treys led the Ramblers (2-3) with 20 points, while Chan Ring scored 13.

WATERVILLE 42, LEAVITT 40: The Purple Panthers outscored the Hornets 12-5 in the fourth quarter to earn a close win in Waterville.

Garrett Gendreau was Waterville’s (2-2) top scorer with 13 points. Derek Couture added 10 points and Jacoby Sirois finished with nine.

Colin Schlobohm led Leavitt (1-3) with 13 points.

WINSLOW 54, MCI 37: Carter Calvo scored 15 points for the Raiders in their win over the Huskies in Winslow.

Noah Harding added 14 points for Winslow (4-1). Brody Willette scored 11 points, and Braden Rodrigue contributed 10 points, six assists and five rebounds.

David Wright led MCI (1-4) with 15 points.

GARDINER 53, LAWRENCE 46: Brady Atwater scored 16 points and added eight rebounds as the Tigers won in Gardiner.

Brady Peacock added 12 points for Gardiner (2-2), which outscored Lawrence 16-8 in the fourth quarter.

Preston Roy led the Bulldogs (0-4) with 12 points.

MT. ABRAM 64, DIRIGO 51: Bryce Wilcox hit six 3-pointers and scored 21 points to lead the Roadrunners to an MVC win over the Cougars in Salem Township.

Sophomore Brenna Mitchell added 17 points for Mt. Abram (5-0), Reagan Lockaby had 10 and Killian Pillsbury nine.

Dirigo’s Nathaniel Wainwright put up 21 points and Owen Smith added 14.

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 54, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 31: Levi Laverdiere spurred the Mustangs’ fast start as they took down the Falcons in Monmouth.

Laverdiere made three 3-pointers and scored 11 points to help Monmouth (4-1) build a 21-7 advantage after one quarter. Laverdiere, a sophomore, finished with five 3s and a game-high 25 points. Bingham Abbott added 10 and Aiden Oliveira had nine points.

Blake Small led Mountain Valley (2-3) with eight points.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
FOREST HILLS 55, TEMPLE ACADEMY 25: Janessa Moffit scored 19 points and added six rebounds as the Tigers won in Jackman.

Addison Chaisson also had a nice game with 14 points, seven rebounds and five steals for Forest Hill (4-1), and Morgan Petrucci scored 11 points and grabbed 17 rebounds.

Maddie Corey led Temple (2-3) with 10 points.

LEAVITT 59, WATERVILLE 17: Gabrielle Smith dominated the paint and the glass as the Hornets (2-1) rolled past the Purple Panthers (0-4) in Turner.

Smith scored a game-best 23 points and pulled down seven rebounds. Caitlyn McCoy added 13 points and Jordyn Boulay 10.

Brooklyn Hart was Waterville’s top scorer with four points.

MARANACOOK 56, LISBON 15: Celia Bergdahl scored 29 points and had 14 rebounds to lead the Black Bears (4-1) to a win over the Greyhounds (0-4) in an MVC game in Lisbon.

Reagan Dwelley added nine points for Maranacook.

Delaney McGrath led Lisbon with seven points.

GIRLS HOCKEY
BRUNSWICK 10, WINSLOW/GARDINER/CONY/MESSALONSKEE/LAWRENCE/ERSKINE/MARANACOOK 3: Lisi Palmer, Lauren Labbe and Solveig Ledwick each recorded a hat trick as the Dragons (6-1) defeated the Winslow co-op at Watson Arena.

Gillian Countway was Brunswick’s other goal scorer.
