UNION — The Union Fair/Maine’s Wild Blueberry Festival is set for Wednesday, July 30, through Sunday, Aug. 3, at 175 Fairgrounds Lane.

The fair will feature agricultural animals, livestock pulling events, exhibition hall displays and contest entries, as well as a 4-H Barn, 4-H Farm to Fair, and a 4-H Yurt.

The Matthew’s Museum and Moxie Museum will be open daily.

The 2025 Maine Wild Blueberry Queen Coronation is planned for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 31.

Many blueberry-themed events held throughout the festival will include the annual two-crust blueberry pie baking contest, the children’s blueberry pie eating contest, and the free blueberry dessert giveaway.

Other offerings include a children’s pig scramble, a new exhibition/education area, bands and solo musical artists, children’s events, a new selfie wall scavenger hunt, and the annual demolition derby planned at 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2.
