WATERVILLE — A workshop, “Home,” led by teaching artist Lisa Wheeler, is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at Ticonic Gallery + Studios’ Ticonic Classroom, Paul J. Schupf Art Center, 93 Main St.
Participants are encouraged to reflect on their personal connection to home — whether it’s a physical space, a feeling, a memory, or an aspiration. Through a series of questions and hands-on artmaking, one will use a variety of mixed-media techniques to create a unique piece of artwork that captures their story and vision of home, according to a news release from the gallery.
The writing and artwork created during the workshop will be featured in an exhibition scheduled for late February.
The workshop is for those 16 and older, has a capacity of 10 participants and costs $26. A portion of all ticket fees are designated to support the Youth Arts Access Fund.
