Maine has overspent the budget again, partially due to a “robust” minimum wage, “free” community college, “free” federal funding (which dries up) and “green” energy.
Now supporters want to pass these questionable taxation decisions (tax increases) along to those that help employ workers and run businesses. Companies will relocate to more tax friendly states and Maine will have, once more, made a poor decision on taxation.
No, you can’t have it both ways. We need to learn to live within our budget.
