Richard A. Willis
WISCASSET – Richard A. Willis, 50, of Gardiner Road, died unexpectedly on Sunday, Feb. 9, 2025, at his home.
Richard was born in El Paso, Texas on Nov. 5, 1974, the son of Jerry D. and Margie A. (Houston) Willis.
In 2018 Richard moved to Maine to be closer to his father. He worked as a delivery driver for the Furniture Gallery for several years before moving to his current job at NAPA Auto Parts where he delivered parts to area garages. He loved meeting and talking to people and cherished the many friendships he made.
In his spare time, Richard loved riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. Long trips with friends or day trips to explore Maine. He was happiest when on his motorcycle. He loved spending time with his father and working on projects. He was also an avid Chicago Bears fan. He enjoyed Street Outlaws Racing and Gold Mining Shows.
Richard was predeceased by his mother, Margie Hooker; and his sister, Tammy Church; also by his best dog and friend, Leah the Boxer. They were a bonded pair.
He is survived by his fiancée, Chelsea Powell and her children, Brodie and Addilynn of Wiscasset; son, Jeremy Willis of Virginia; father and stepmother, Jerry and Debby Willis of Gardiner; his stepfather, Roger Hooker of Virginia; and his two nieces, Crystal Alderman and Emily Church both of Virginia.
At the family’s request all services will be private. Arrangements and guidance are in the care of Staples Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner.
