Lydia (Muller) Hoffman
MONMOUTH – Lydia Hoffman (born Muller), 93, of the town of Monmouth passed away in Augusta on Sept. 1, 2023.
Lydia lived a life of stories, courage, humor, integrity, faith, and love of family and friends. She was kind, self-assured, decisive. She loved traveling in her RV with her family and made the journey to Alaska several times when she was already in her 70’s. She always inquired about others, loved her community and neighbors, had her door wide open. Her Kitty was her joy, all cats were welcome.
She also enjoyed baking, sharing a meal, gardening, and driving near and far to forage for mushrooms. She embraced her German/Russian heritage wholeheartedly. She made an exceptional Vinaigrette. Her love of coffee at 4:00 a.m. never diminished.
She was predeceased by her husband Michael Hoffman and lifelong partner Robert Brackett.
Lydia is survived by a niece and nephew and grand-nephew and family. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, wife, and friend.
