    St. Anne's alter is seen Wednesday inside Christ Episcopal Church in Gardiner, which is celebrating its bicentennial this weekend. The Rev. Kerry Mansir said the altar was built for Christ Church in 1894 to replace the 1820 altar.

    The Gardiner Public Library Archives includes this letter from Robert Hallowell Gardiner to the Rev. Samuel Jarvis commissioning the design of Gothic style stone church to be build in Gardiner. The letter was found on eBay.
